Is PSN under attack? - PSN now back up 15/05

I wonder if this will cause them to reset all the PSN activations so that everyone gets 5/5 installations back.

Going back to a post i saw earlier about how this never happens on the 360,
XBL was down for 15 days between december '07 and january '08.....so really no one has a prestine record of solid working servers, whether you pay for a subscription or not. some people need to stop acting like XBL has a perfect record of working servers.

More worrying though is whether hackers got into their store system and got hold of card numbers and went on a spending spree.

i have just noticed this, has it been happening for a bit then ? (PS3).

I Wanted a blast of BF2 on line, guess from reading this i cant till tuesday then.

Any idea why the PSN is down ?

I love a bit of online gaming, guess I shall have to do something else then.

Lmao @ Sony tbh! A company of Sonys stature should have no problem fixing attacks like this within hours not days or maybe even weeks! Very poor imo!

Our efforts to resolve this matter involve re-building our system to further strengthen our network infrastructure. Though this task is time-consuming, we decided it was worth the time necessary to provide the system with additional security.

Doesn't this just sound like "come and 'ave another go if you're think you're hard enuff" ? i.e. can the hackers crack this additional security?
