I thought the most interesting fact from reading the iPad app was that Stephen Merchant wasn't the first choice to play Wheatley, originally it was going to be Moss from the IT Crowd! But they couldn't fit his schedule so they thought they'd try Merchant and see if he wanted to do it.

Both replied with a personal, and lengthy email, which I really appreciated.

I had a similar experience. I asked a question about L4D and ended up having a conversation about the fact I grew up near Valve HQ
