I mean the revenue that the PS3 division brings in.
Like I said though game sales are only one source of revenue, I doubt Sony or any other company would take a hit on profits. It also depends on your definition of free I suppose. I've always considered myself as paying for the service indirectly, like the NHS. Though it is certainly preferable to a sub service live as it is one less thing off your mind, and you don't have to suffer trying to cancel your subscription.
mate the quality between psn and live is the difference between the NHS and BUPA.
ive had countless problems on fifa when playing virtual pro clubs and not being able to talk to my club members due to moderate or strict nats, or just simply the service. this never happens on xbox live.
psn is free but poor quality
xbox live is paid for but high quality
im not a fanboy, i gave up ps2 online to play xbox 1 online and then when my 360 died 3 times i gave that up and took up ps3 online.
i know both services well and live is a much better service, i personally wouldnt pay 1p for psn, i would rather pay the £30 for live. but since its free ive chosen psn.
