For most PC's with one graphics card 300W, add 200W per extra graphics card, then add 40%
Therefore
1GFX = 450 - 500W
2GFX = 700 -750W
3GFX = 1000W+
simple really. The rest is epeen or other special kit you need.

Noob Q:
How can I find out how much wattage my system is drawing from my PSU? Any particular programme?
cheers brah
EDIT: crikey, if I've filled this out right I've got a recommended 331W PSU and if I add in another 5770 I'll only need a 390W PSU....madness...
remember to take into account effeciency.
I purchased a wall power monitoring strip, the system draws 280w at idle, 530w when gaming.Noob Q:

The efficiency affects the power taken from the wall, not the power supplied to your components.
Effeciency is vital when considering what wattage psu you need after using such websites as i posted.
Thats the one i initially ordered RJC, unfortunately they were out of stock for ages. Finally settled on this one here.

Very handy for measuring total system power use, such as monitor and speakers as well. Also has a cost per unit function built in, havent dare look at that one though tbh.![]()
