Ebay ad for saxo

cant fault the work thats went into it, ditch the stupid bodykit and go back to a standard driving position and i'd love it

Now on the other hand they stripped it completely and space framed a hayabusa engine in with the gearbox from the bike as well that would be more fun. circa 600kgs with a sequential gear box :) and 15,000 redline ;)

Like always, I do wonder how on earth someone with £25,000 worth of disposable income can have the mentality to drop it all on a hideous little Saxo. People with a salary to support such projects wouldn't be stupid and careless enough to bin all that money and not contemplate a more respectable car.

It's not all that difficult. Look at that thread the other day with the 22 year old with 18k worth of savings to play with on a car. I know another guy who racked up 35k worth of saving by 24, but he sunk it into a house and had the social life of an 90 year old coma patient, but its not too difficult to rack up a decent amount of savings/disposable income while you're living with the parents, even on a humble wage.

Exactly this. On 15k a year at 19, you could easily save £20k in 3 years if you live at home.

I was gonna say can't fault the work but.... spent £25K and can't afford £90 to tax it legitimately!

But this guy bought it half built, we don't know if the whole build cost 25k or he spent 25k since he owned it. The engines were already in place when he bought it, I think he had to sort out the final details (connections and linkages etc) with the engines, interior and spray it

To build this car has cost £25000+

I admire the work but really £25k?! Especially on a car that crumbles like tin foil in crashes when it has one engine in it. Let alone two and not far off 400 horses.

It's certainly impressive the amount of work that's gone into it, I'm not sure it's a good thing but I doff my metaphorical cap anyway. However the advert describes it as the ultimate sleeper which doesn't quite sit right, surely the point of a sleeper is that it looks completely standard and that one doesn't - ok, you might not expect it to go as it allegedly does but you'd suspect that something had been done to it.
