Spec me a new Sci-fi show

Hi guys,

I'm finding myself with very few sci-fi shows to watch, and even fewer within the coming moths due to cancelations :(

I'm currently watching Fringe, V, Stargate Universe

Can you recommend any past shows, or current shows that kind of fit into the category that I'm currently watching?

Have you watched the previous Stargates? Early SG-1 is excellent.
Star Trek of course (start with TNG and work you way through the others)
Blake's 7 (though you'll have to excuse the low production quality)

I agree with you on Farscape, the last season was very off the wall
I stopped watching Andromeda after season 2 so can't comment
Babylon 5 is one of the greatest tv shows of all time, a lot of it is brilliant, not rubbish.
 
Babylon 5...get over the dated SFX and enjoy the epic story. Season 1 is hard to get through but just watch them all and get it over with, the latter half of the season is far better. There are teasers of what is to come littered all the way through the first season, makes for a lot of OMG moments. There is a massive teaser in the pilot episode when Kosh first meets Sinclair that most people miss but it makes for one of the biggest reveals in later seasons.

Season 2 onwards is amazing all the way through until the end of Season 4, then give the first half of Season 5 a miss and watch the latter half. The final episode of Season 5 makes me tear up everytime.

Trust me, you'll have a hole in your life after you finish this show.

Iv watched all of the stargate sg-1 and remeber watching farscape as a kid but never really enjoyed it.

Are ther any modern shows that are good?
 
Battlestar Galactica (the remake) Is probably the best sci-fi series I've ever seen, if you haven't seen it yet you owe it to yourself to get it!
 
Fringe>Xfiles>The Night Stalker.

Start with the later, they remade the series a few years ago, go with the original:)
 
Had another thought...older sci-fi shows...

Millennium (could be a bit grim)
Dark Skies - recently released on DVD
American Gothic - not exactly sci-fi but it was good, only one series was ever made and when the DVD was released the order was mixed up.
Space Above and Beyond - again only one series before cancellation
Firefly (of course!)...again...one series...cancellation...
