What to buy?

I'm not sure if there is a thread like this already but I'm stuck at which one I should get. I am mostly looking for a good story line and good re-playability. The achievements don't really matter as long as they are attainable. Here are the ones I am thinking about;

Red Dead Redemption
Borderlands
Alan Wake
Mass Effect 2 ( I already have the first just not played it yet).

rdr for story and re-playability

RDR - ok story, not much replayability
Borderlands - Pants story, but quite replayable
Alan Wake - Haven't played enough yet to comment, doubt it's very replayable though
ME2 - Terrific story, very replayable.

I think I will go with mass effect 2 then considering I have the first one.

I know you didn't mention them in your list, but give either Fallout 3 or New Vegas some consideration too. Both amazing games, with over 100 hours game play each, and they are both criminally cheap nowadays.

If you haven't played Mass Effect yet, do it. It starts a bit slow but once you're past that, it's a fantastic game. Definitely play it before ME2 though.

I'm on my third playthough of Borderlands, I've never put so much time in to a game in my life, endless hours! Greatest game of all time for me, and the GOTY edition has all the 4 DLC for a bargain price... you can't go wrong.

I also have Alan Wake and RDR, neither compete with Borderlands!
