Realistically, they couldn't do that - it would be an invitation for every hacker to have a go and be welcomed with a job at the end of it.![]()
, it took 10 years to make GT5. this new network could take a lot longer than expected.
Didn't realise Polyphony were doing the work on the PSNYou're right then, we're in for a long wait!
sony are at the mercy of its engineers and programmers now, it took 10 years to make GT5. this new network could take a lot longer than expected.
Perhaps the US Government should have offered Bin Laden a job in airport security too.
Not sure what GT5 has to do with anything. In any case, they're not creating a new network, the cost and size of such a project would be massive and not something that could even be put into the planning stage - let alone actually started - within the timeframe so far. They'll be taking the opportunity to strengthen and add to what they have already, it won't be a clean start. That'd be suicide.
Anyone think this rebuilding will result in trophy auto-sync, faster profile browsing/comparisons, etc. Or is it just wishful thinking on my part?![]()
LOL are you trying to say you think Geohot is a White Hat? ROFL

Yep, you cant trust a person that divulges your secrets publically without giving you recourse to fix it - thats where black and white hats differ and why the article you linked to only refers to white hats. Geo Hot is definitely not that...are you saying that geo hot wouldnt make a good security expert for companies like sony and apple?
i dont know anything about hacking, i just know that most decent hackers get offered jobs in security (the other side so to speak).

I dont think any company would really want to have a black hat on their payroll, though Im sure there are a rare few, dependent on their skills...

Tbh i dont see even why them removing OtherOS was an issue for so many since so many other devices which are cheaper than a PS3 can run Linux anyway.
It was a surprise that sony even included it. It got removed some people and hackers using it as an excuse to start was silly it was a temper tantrum if anything.
Sonny your right some hackers do land jobs cause of what they have done but if it is an external source that has attacked psn and they eventually come out and say was only directed at Sony its clearly not true as they will claim its fair its not if it effects other people i.e us.
Their whole ground of well sony did this we did that blahblah its all pathetic
Sony couldnt hire him thou as all it will do is set spark for every hacker to try the same thing hoping they get hired.
Sony might of thought they could but it may look good to us and "internet people" Overall its not worth it for them. We all know Sony have seem to bugger up their security on PS3 last year since its been opened its one thing after another showing how weak it is so if anything Sony will have learnt for the next consol if it even has a psn that is![]()
