Bullies force Emma Watson out of university.

Why the hell did she go to an American University to study European history? I didn't think Americans knew about any history other their own. :p

Probably easier for her to do work while she is over in America. She's probably doing one module at a time or something.

lol, Why did she go to a American university period

Because she can tbh...

They're a bit more flexible with courses and there are at least a dozen or so to choose from that are equivalent to Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial.

OK Brown isn't the best of the bunch but regardless of that she gets to go to an 'Ivy League' school and still carry on earning millions from acting - why wouldn't she want to go to a US uni tbh...

aslo i hav dislexia.

Maybe she lives there? Or wanted a different studying experience? Makes it easier to travel for filming/nearer Hollywood....could be any number of reasons. The Ivy League universities are very good so it's not hard to see why.

Because they are so insanely expensive to go to :eek::eek:

Tution costs for a year of law at harvard...

$45,450!

Harvard and some other other universities will and can pay the majority of your fees depending on your household income. They believe you should be able to study there regardless of how much money you have.

The impression I got was that unless you are particuarly poor or rich, you are going to have to have a scholarship or one hell of a loan to afford to go. I remember reading about many families remortgaging their houses to send their children there.

A friend of my girlfriend was accepted into Harvard but she needed something like over $100000-150000 so she didn't go. She's a manager in Starbucks now, I think I'd have taken out a loan =\

Particularly poor example.

Harvard ask two questions of an applicant: (1) Are you good enough for Harvard? (2) Can you afford it?

As long as 1 is answered, 2 isn't an issue. Some would say the opposite is true too :D

BS. For the above reason, absolute BS.
