Bullies force Emma Watson out of university.

I think if you're able to get into Harvard then you ought to be able to figure out that for most courses the fees are negligible compared to your future earning potential and getting a fat loan to cover them is a no-brainer.

At least anyone turning down an MBA, law degree or medical degree form Harvard on the basis that the fees have lots of zeros on them prob shouldn't have been allowed in in the first place.

Just to quote from the Harvard website :D
Our most recent program enhancement, announced in December of 2007, dramatically reduced the amount we expect families to contribute to the cost of their student's Harvard education. Out currrent program does not require students to take out loans, and parents of financial aid recipients are asked to contribute on average from zero to ten percent of their annual income, with no contribution expected for families with incomes of under $60,000. Those parents with annual incomes of between $120,000 and $180,000 are currently asked to contribute an average ten percent of their income, with a declining percentage — from ten to zero — for parents with annual incomes between $120,000 and $60,000.

Particularly poor example.

Harvard ask two questions of an applicant: (1) Are you good enough for Harvard? (2) Can you afford it?

As long as 1 is answered, 2 isn't an issue. Some would say the opposite is true too :D

How does that work in practice then?

Ah, I see from the post above. Perhaps it was a poor example. The article I read must have been about some other universities, I'm unsure.

Basically, they assess you solely on a "need-blind" basis. That is, they neither consider your income nor financial aid in determining a place. This also applies to international students too - remarkable really.

If you get a place, they will do their damnedest to give you all financial help to facilitate your studies. Almost 3/4 of Harvard students get financial aid - a friend is an alumni that spent $0 on her Harvard degree.

Yeah - bad example really. I was being a bit of an ass - but Harvard has a remarkable altruistic streak - that isn't just for athletes. Yale, Standford and MIT offer similar support, but nowhere near as generous as Harvard.

I can't see the video from my phone but I presume its the one from Johnathan Ross show where looks amazing. The haircut was her biggest mistake. She looks awful now
For you.

I think the haircut suits her and makes her look older so it's hardly surprising she wanted to escape the Hermione label and a drastic haircut is one way to do it. She has the right face for it too. One pretty lady. Cow :p

If it was me and I really was on 40k I would just post a picture of my payslip editing out a few bits. Seeing as he is a childish liar "i dont ave too proof anythink too u" ;)
