Recommend me an analogue headset for under £50?

There seem to be a lot of great headsets in my price range. I've never owned a headset before but I have tried a few in the past and not been at all impressed (Megalodon, Roccat Kave, SteelSeries Siberia).

I have been looking at the following:
Corsair HS1A
Razer Piranah
Steelseries 5H v2 (sold out, must be good?)

I am thinking of going for the Corsair, because they haven't let me down in the past and their marketing/PR is far more sensible and trustworthy (so they deserve their money) than the likes of Razer and SteelSeries who both regularly make trash products and try to flog them off to dumbos... but I digress.

Anyway, does anybody own/has anybody used one of the above headsets? Or have any other recommendations (maby above £50 if it's worth it).

The reason I need analogue is because I want to use it both for gaming and for use on workstations at Uni where I can't install drivers etc. and they are buggy so any plug n' playability through usb would probably not work anyway. Also, windows tends to mess around and break things a lot if you want to switch from headset to speakers any way other than just unplugging the headset and vice versa :P (well it did with the Megalodon junk I borrowed)

I'm in the same boat mate, any reason you didn't like the Kaves?

The quality was way below what is to be expected, likewise with the Megalodon. They sound like the Siberia but with better bass, but the Siberia is a cheapish set (the older v1 I am talking about).

I did love the deisgn and build quality of the kaves.

Creative Fatality MK II

just throwing that in there, thats what I'd get, I know creatives expensive stuff gets good reviews so some of that quality must be present in their midrange.
