Anyway i can do a straight swap for mine its a 2007 Arnage, i wont lose money while i keep looking, and it is a lovely thing.

Nope.
Not a good option.

Oh wait, won't lose money? Go for it :)

Thats just me talking myself into it really, yes these depreciate slower than mine and do sell well, but really its just me wanting a change.

Love the arnage over the continental any day of the week!

Despite what purists say and the new better gearbox in 2006 they just dont drive as well though.

But the quality inside and the looks, they are lovely.

Somehow though Mark, I don't think the Arnarge is about "The drive" as such, where the Continental is the opposite.

If its a fair straight swap for a straight motor though, why not indeed? :)

Thats a great deal of money for a very old car though. Beautiful all the same.

I know, one's from 1997 are around £70k. However it's one of those Bentley's that you just don't see, and I really do like the look of it. Even if they are very old. A Classic I would love to own in the near future.

Trading in for the pipe and slippers already? ;)

Have you noticed the slightly lumpy idle on these?

Yea but i put that down to being a V8, not sure if thats the reason or not but im sure i was told that.

I dont think im going to do it to be honest, iv been having a think in the bath, whats the point im going to keep looking.

From what I've been told they use a different cam in 'T's. The idle isn't great on any of those engines (well, apart from the Mulssane :)) but I can see a 'T' getting a bit annoying. A shame that it managed to get past quality control, but hey.

Still going to hold out for a speed then?

I think so, i drove that silver one today while we had dinner and its just soft i thought compared with mine, then i booted the life out of mine round the M25 coming home and its so capable just does everything so well.

But they do look so good dont they, thats a beautiful car to look at.
