4pin ATx On Asus P8p67 Pro MOBO

Please guys im really really confused now last time my Mobo just shut down it self and never worked again and i will receive a new one tomorow and im wondering if it was my psu that burn my mobo and also if i had to change it since it only have a 4pin atx 12v (my osu is 550watt artic cooling fusion 550R) ...im interested of OC a liitle bit my sandy i7 2600k to 4.5Ghz Max and Max vcore =1.35 no more otherwise i will lower my clock

so please guy give me some advise on what should i do or did i need to change it or is a 4pin atx is enough for my target OC???
please help
 
My Gpu is a ati 5870, 4 Gb Gskill DDr3 1600mhz , 1 DVD RW, 1x1Tb WD 7200 rpm, 1x 150Gb velociraptor 10000rpm i that is all,,with 3 fan 120mn
 
The Asus P67 boards will work with a 4 pin connector, so you should be ok to get it setup and running. I doubt this causes your original board to break.

Whether or not your PSU is good enough for your target OC I'll let someone else answer :)

Ok thx but tell me i see that your using an asus p8p67 and inel sandy B, so are you using a 4pin or a 8pin ?,and are on OC thx

I'm using a 4pin and whilst i'm running at stock now, i can overclock to 4.3 without issues. I didn't try and go higher as I'm using the stock intel heatsink and started having temperature issues.

I don't have a good PSU (just a cheap 550w one) but i also have a less powerful graphics card (Radeon HD 5550).
