Why my laptop keeps waking itself up out of full hibernation? It's started doing it recently and it's a major pain in the bum. Not only am I paranoid about why it's doing it but it did it earlier today while my laptop was in its bag, exhausted the battery and got crazy hot :( It still works but I just want to find out where I can look to find out why it's doing it.

No programs that are active that I know of. I always use hibernation as it's faster than doing a full boot each time.

Nah I never use sleep as that keeps the machine in a low power state, so I prefer hibernation as that dumps RAM contents to HDD rather than keeping it powered :)

Checked through the BIOS and its nothing in there. In Windows power management I've turned off wake up timers which has stopped it. Strange though as it would always do it at night and as mentioned once on my journey back home from college while in my bag. Strange...

I would have said windows update set to a certain time. Are the restarts random or timed intervals?

^It is/was random wakeups in the middle of the night and once during the day. As mentioned I'd assume it something to do with windows update but the thing is the machine stayed on afterwards as well. It would wake it self up somewhen early in the morning and when I'd get up (6am) it'd still be on sat at the login screen.
