A Very Quick 300 Pound Spec Check

Hi

I am going to be building my 15 year old brother his first gaming PC, of which he has a 310 pound budget, not including windows.

This is what i have so far, it totals just below 312 pounds. Is there anything i have missed and will this all work together?

Well at first, he's going to be using it for light video editing. Then when he has saved some more money, he is going to buy and add a graphics card for gaming.

Fair enough. You have some room for manouver. First, if he is eyeing a graphics card later, I would take a better PSU, at least one with two PCIE 6+2 pin connectors to be covered. Like the OCZ 600W, or the XFX 550W, or even the BeQuiet Pure L7 530W. You can claw back some money on the RAM (Corsair XMS 12800C9), HD and case.

£9 peripherals are false economy.

Remember you get free delivery, spend more on the mouse at least, I bought a Trust £9 jobbie for my nieces pc at Xmas, and its tracking sucked the fat one, a Logitech Mouse for £17 sorted the issue.

I chose to have DPD next day delivery but my order status still says "In our warehouse queue".

Should i be worried at all?

Also, as with my last build, when i receive everything i will take loads of photos while I'm building for everyone to see.
