Well i've spent countless days in hgv's, and the way the general car driving population treat them is stupid. People pulling in with a few feet of space, braking hard, sitting at 50mph in the inside lane, when you try to overtake they speed up. General bad driving habits.
Snail racing, get used to it, you get one truck grossing 43t and another 38t and hit a incline the heavier truck will slow down, other pulls out, and by time they get level the road levels out and they sit neck and neck.
When i'm driving, I always allow room for trucks, they can be good drivers and bad drivers. My driving instructor taught me to leave them room. I think everyone should have to drive a hgv for a day just to realise how BIG the blind spot is, Scania R480 I could loose half the trailer length in the blind spot, thats 2 cars!
It's generally the car drivers that annoy me when driving my car, they don't have a clue about what lane to be in, will pull out well before they need to, not pay attention to whats around them.
If the driving test had more motorway driving, I feel that there would be a better experience for people on the motorways. I drove to crotia a few years ago, and the standard of peoples driving on the motorways abroad was miles higher. You could spot english drivers miles off with the erratic behaviour.
