Cameron to Angela Eagle MP - 'Calm down dear'

Cameron is a sneaky b******, he knows he's getting owned by questions about hospital waiting times so retorts with some patronising advertising slogan to move the debate onto "what is sexism?". I guess that's the kind of thing they teach you at Eton.

For people who say there was nothing wrong with this, imagine you were getting asked some pretty searching questions at work from a female colleague or client, would you respond with "Calm down dear"? Thought not.

Was he getting asked searching questions at that specific time though?.......nope he was being heckled and as such "calm Down Dear" is a humorous retort of no consequence.

Labour have nothing of substance with which to counter Dr Stokes letter, so they resort to making a big issue out of nothing.

IT WAS A JOKE! get over it and move on.

Intelligence fail

The female was wailing her head off, she wasn't even asking questions, if anything she seems like she needed a tranquilizer

It may be mildly condescending, but it's going to be annoying for call me Dave when your opposition justs shouts and laughs everytime you come out with some valid argument.

That's Labour all over though..

lol scorza

Blind faith in Labour if I ever saw it.

That reply explains exactly why Labour fit so well with your thoughts. Totally ignoring the issues at hand and continually blaming others - have you though about running for a council/MP?

What's wrong with calm down dear?

I could think of worse things to call that woman to be honest.

How they've managed to kick such a fuss up about this is beyond me. There is absolutely no malicious nor sexist intent.

Don't even get me started on Harriet Harman...

It's because people have their blinkers on and opinions like this:

Cameron should have tagged Hague in.

Lol! :D

Should have invited her over for a stand and bang against the table :D

You're not allowed to hit women.

Unless you start an unjust war based on lies and join up with the Americans then create a camp where nobody can see you beat women. ;);)

He was trying to reply but Labour were losing their heads and provoked that response out of him then when they got it they went all PC and OTT on that as well.

Labour just need nuking from orbit. They're leaderless party that's lost their way. In a naturally selective habitat they would not survive.
