How much sleep do you need to feel good at work the next day?

I've been getting 6 hours lately and feel like a warmed up turd. Not sure what's worse - the mornings where I'm craving going back to bed, or the afternoons where my brain has gone into spacecaek mode.

I reckon I need 8 hours of sleep minimum. Ideally 9. :D

So how much do you think you need in order to feel happy/energetic? And how much do you tend to get in reality?

It doesn't seem to matter how much I get, I never seem to wake up happy or energetic these days. Miss having a spring in my step in the morning. :(

6-7. I don't think there's a magic number. Some people seem to function really well on as little as 4 hours sleep. I can't see how it will do their health any favours in the long run though.

*doesn't work* But anywhere between 6 and 8 usually. Wish i'd got my grandma's side of things there. She keeps going on about how she usually only needs 2-4 hours a night and if she gets 8 hours she doesn't need to sleep for 2 days ><

depends on what i eat the day before. if i have eaten unhealthily, i feel sluggish all day, if i've eaten healthy i have a nice vitamin buzz. usually try and get 7 hours, anything over 8 hours doesn't seem to do me well.

(this has been asked before btw)

7 or 8, but it's not just hours, need to wake up naturally which at best is mid morning. So never feel that great on day shifts and nightshifts I could sleep 14 hours a day and still feel tiered.
