Budget pc II

Ok so i have had other threads, i am selling my laptop in pieces for around £350-£400 to make some cash to make a second (budget) gaming rig to work alongside my main, i have been working out, 4GB is plenty enough ram for gaming(yes?) which will cost me max £40?

Now i need to work out my cpu/mobo budget, i already have an asrock Am3 board which im ebaying for £35, no bidders yet, am i best off keeping this and buying an amd cpu or flogging it and going for an intel cpu/mobo, not sure which is better option, also i want pretty decent graphics card for this system, 5800(ati) or 460 nvidia at least?

i already have - case, hard drives, psu (although its cheap), monitor, peripherals etc

Assuming you get the £400 for your laptop and £35 for your mobo, that puts your budget at £435, and not sure if you need a DVD drive but I'll put one in anyway:

But that particular H67 board isn't in stock at the moment so the next cheapest takes you quite a bit over budget (may be worth ringing up and seeing when its in stock)

random crappy massive ATX case and a 405Watt no brand psu, though i put my 850watt ocuk crusade in my brothers pc, would that work for setup you listed? and i was hoping to spend a little less, as i needed money left over to pay bills damn finance, i wish i cud afford i7 990x's and quadfire 6990s

I think your probably better off getting a better one, I wouldn't trust a no brand PSU with a good system.
