yeah looks prittey good i still think crossfire is the way to go tho especially with the 5850 at roughtly the same price as one 6970. but i suppose it dose have it draw back to.

good luck with the build like to hear how it goes.

Yeah, it's approx an extra £80 though for the CF option. I can't really go that route atm. However, couple months done the line, I may grab another 6950/6970 and CF those.

So, just playing the waiting game now. Excited to finally be getting a new rig lol :p

yeah you could cross fire 5850's for £230. they give quite a bit more performance than a single 6970 here

but if you are thinking of buying another 6950/6970 then there isnt much point :P

I'm probably not going to try overclocking this tbh. I'm fairly sure the stock speeds will more than do. I'd be worried of burning something out.

But the better cpu cooling is definitely on my mind, I'll certainly keep it on board.

You think the XMS Ram is better? Bear in mind I'll be ordering this probably after the Xms comes off special offer.

If your getting DDR3 1600MHz RAM I doubt the make and model will make TOO much difference so I would just get the one on deal at the time. The only issue is when your fitting a big aftermarket cooler that covers the RAM slots meaning you'd need smaller RAM sticks.

I guess that makes sense. They change the offers every wednesday, right? :p
