Is PSN under attack? - PSN now back up 15/05

There's more to life than being hunched over your PS3 - go outside and enjoy the weather!

What's the point of comments like these? "Oh I'm so cool I'm outside having a life instead of being a loser inside"
Why do people feel the need to point out that it doesn't bother them and that they are doing something more "worthwhile" instead. Is it because the situation is actually the opposite and they are twitching at the thought of not being able to play?

I hope this doesn't take Sony down. Would be kind of sad seeing PlayStation go because of this.

Hopefully they get their doodoo together and give their loyal fans the treatment they deserve. No more rootkits and more of a community, if anything they should open up the console, taking one prime example where the closed nature makes the PS3 inferior, there's very little in the way of mods for UT3 on the PS3 whereas on PC there are buckets of them and I believe getting mods on to 360 is far easier.

I'm expecting heads to roll at Sony, I'm expecting some very high ranking individuals to be given marching orders, it's time to fix the company. Again, look at their share history, they've been under-performing for years.

Not to mention the company lost 8% of it's value in the last 7 days :eek:

Im not a PS3 owner, but when I signed into my Smile accoutn it warning came up before it to check my account now due to this.

im not sure if this is all true, i just have this strange conspiracy thing that sony are stating this so the hackers ,Anonymous i guess are looked at in an even worse light. The thing is has anyone reported anything actually taken from there cards yet.

Not at all, aside from those genuinely concerned they could be defrauded fiscally, and there is no proof that that CAN or WILL happen, there are far to many people bickering about not being able to get online - there's more important things in life.

anon said he isn't doing it to steal money.. dunno if thats true or not... and geohot doesn't seem like he would do this to steal credit card info. Not sure if geohot is even apart take down.. but he is the source of it all.

If you think about it, if they wanted money, wouldn't it be better for them to hack microsoft? Since more people add their cc details to that than psn.

Apparently not. 77 million PSN accounts but 30 million XBL.

Really? So, people just buy 360's and never go online but people who buy PS3's do? That doesn't sound right... at all. lol.

Where did you get that fact?

EDIT: NVM, looked it up... but how many of those PSN accounts are from the same person? I actually have about 5 accounts.
