Price drop?

Hey guys,

What I'm wondering is how much do case prices generally drop in year? Reason I'm asking this is to see if it's worth buying a case now instead of say, January to ensure that if I came to buy it then, it not be available.

Another question( for people who have experience with this case ) is about the LanBoy Air. I am curious as to if people who have used the case had any problems with dust building up inside or any other problems.

And the final question, I do/will have about £150 to spend on a case, this budget can be pushed to possibly £200 if needed. Though any savings would be nice, especially if it's a case of quality. So, what cases do you guys advise? It can be both Mid-tower of a full tower case, I am not interested in small cases though.

Thanks for any help or advice in advance. :D

And may I add, I plan to spend about £1000-1200 on this build, so with this budget you think my budget for a case should be lowered... or increased, let me know, this will be my first build.

For any other information just ask, I'll answer if I can.

I purchased my case (Lian-Li PC-P80) about three years ago when it first came out. It costs MORE now than what I paid for it.

The Lian Li PC-A70's are great cases, if you don't mind paying the extra. These are a few decent cases within budget.

Haf X.
Coolermaster CM 690.
NZXT Phantom.
Corsair 600T.
Corsair 700D.
Silverstone Raven.

Thanks for the case names and such guys, thinking of possibly getting the case now with what 'BDEE' said, but then again, I may not.

I shall keep an eye out for other cases aswell as keeping a lot of cases posted in here on mind as they look pretty damn good. :D

Right now I'm thinking the Corsair 650D due to the cable management and also the fact it has two USB 3 which I think important . Is the cooling and airflow in this case any good?

I would prefer a case with more 5.25" drive bays and a window may be a bonus as I plan to put it on my desk, but this no necessity. Any suggestions?

Haf X also has usb 3, a small window, great cable management and fantastic cooling with 4x 5.25 bays (not including 2 external drive bays). Also comes with wheels if you want to put the case on floor (it is huge).

If anything cases are going up in price due to the cost of raw materials.

The HAF-X is a good case for air cooling but its looks are not everyone's cup of tea.

I do like the case but I prefer a clean look or the more UFO spacey look (Alienware, CM Storm Enforcer). I shall take another look at it when I'm not dosing off. :P

Its an epic case, just a bit heavy on the pocket, but I will never* need to change the case again.

*Unless form factors etc change.
