My mate just bought this mini as his first car. I have to say its pretty sweet

He has just got the new lamps for it as well now.

I think I would prefer this over a new Clio or something like that. You gotta love the old mini's

I've always preferred them without the racing stripes.. but each to their own. I had a 94' 1.3 sprite as my first car and it had the appearance of a mk1 with moustache and grille

Gets the thumbs up from me anywho!

Now seeing this, has tempted me to get a mini as a first car, but the price of the classics has shot through the roof, This cost him £3000, eek

Nice car, and although my heart would definitely take it over the usual fiestas and corsas, I wouldn't feel very safe driving it - my parents would have had a fit if that had been my first car

Thing is that if it's your first car you are very likely to crash it and in a mini the crumple zone is your knees.

I can see the appeal of old mini's but after seeing the state one ends up in after an accident and losing a family member in the same vehicle i'd not touch one with a barge pole!
