Mum vs grandma falling out - advice

Try working in a geriatric department, she will seem the loveliest person ever lol.

Older people do go like this and its best to treat them like a child. Leave her alone and she will take a month or two to realise she is truly alone. She will have to hold out an olive branch sooner or later. Just be there for her and your mum.

Then rinse and repeat until she dies.

Ignore her until she dies.

I saw your response.. Having ruled out dementia, I think this is probably the most solid advice you'll get from here. I'm sure she had a rough ride, as do a lot of people. Doesn't excuse such an ill nature, unless of course it turns you into a sociopath in which case you don't need excusing..
