Is reunification of the US and the UK a possibility?

if they gave it up today, it wouldnt be to a british empire ? as we dont have one anymore.. and i think the argument is, we become just another state of america, like hawaii and alaska

The obvious problem with that being one of geography - we aren't in America. Similarly to how America could never join the EU, not being in Europe.

Hawaii isn't in America either. Britain isn't that much further away from mainland USA than Hawaii is.

I wonder though if they did a poll in America for the our monarchy to become a kind of commonwealth head they'd probably go for it, Canada/Australia etc seem to love the Queen a lot...while back in the UK it seems like a lot more are against the queen-bee.

Once we've used up all our mineral wealth, realised that we sold all our industry down the river, reduced our armed forces to a few TA units and given every last penny to single mothers, then i fully expect the UK to beg the US to become the 51st State.

About 5 years from now at the rate we're going.
