New to OCUK and building my 1st.

You got a good star alignment when you fitted the card then:p

mine works fine too, Windows 7 x64 - was recognised out of the box, Windows Update even has an updated driver available as an optional update.

I have bought the TP-Link 5dbi antenna extension though, have gone from 2 bars to 5.

As to the spec: as someone else said, I'd stear clear of the ASUS boards for the time being, I sent mine back for random freezing and other people have experienced it too.

only thing i can suggest is to change the motherboard to a gigabyte/MSI equivilant, because some people have been having problems with the asus motherboards:

this would be best if it was available: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-170-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1906

but its been on preorder for forever and a day, so im going to suggest this instead: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-324-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1906

other than that, it looks great

What sorts of problems with these motherboards?

What would you suggest instead of the TP Link?

Edimax EW-7711IN. OCUK don't sell it so you'll have to shop around. Gets decent reviews for its price. Had bought one for a relative but they decided to route an ethernet cable through the house instead.

Have you looked into Powerline Adapters? Again you'll have to shop around for more choice as the ones on OCUK are a bit limited.

mods: apologies if naming a product OCUK don't sell is against the rules. I know you can't link to competitors but wasn't sure about individual hardware.

Theres a thread here - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18261244

You should get this motherboard - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-167-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1906

its cheaper and has the newer UEFI BIOS, surprised Reaper 392 didnt link to it.

Cheers fella!
Just wanted to check was the MSI C45 part of their classic series?
I thought the C stood for Classic instead of gaming?

would I be better off going for a GD53?

that gd53 will never arrive, as mentioned earlier, its been on pre-order forever.

dont know the significance of the "c" in the title, but the board does everything you would expect a £100 board to do.
