New to OCUK and building my 1st.

opps sorry guys, noob mistake wont happen again. :o

Just been getting overwhelmed with the amount of options available to me.

Why do they make so many variations? LoL

To confuse everyone, including myself.

But thats the same board as mentioned earlier in this thread, its got the options and the features you want.

sorry to be a noob but I'm learning a lot here, What makes the 480 better, as on paper the 560ti has some things are higher and others lower?
ie: core clock on 560ti is 880Mhz and 700Mhz on the 480.

MSI 560 TI spec
- Dual 8cm PWM Fans for 50% more airflow.
- Superpipe technology and nickel-plated copper base for better dissipation
- 20c cooler than reference design
- Military Class II Components
- Core Clock: 880MHz
- Memory: 1024MB GDDR5
- Memory Clock: 4200MHz (Effective)
- Memory Interface: 256-Bit
- Processing Cores: 384
- Shader Clock: 1760MHz
- Bus Type: PCI-Express 2.0
- Display Connectors: 2x Dual-Link DVI-I & 1x HDMI 1.4a (Includes HDMI & VGA Adapters)
- SLI Ready
- HDCP Capable

- OpenGL 4.0 Support
- PhysX Enabled
- CUDA Enabled
- 3D Vision Enabled
- NVIDIA Surround Enabled

Asus GTX480 spec
- Voltage Tweak Technology
- Core Clock: 700MHz
- Memory: 1536MB GDDR5
- Memory Clock: 3696MHz (Effective)
- Memory Interface: 384-Bit
- Processing Cores: 480
- Shader Clock: 1401MHz
- Bus Type: PCI-Express 2.0
- Display Connectors: 2x Dual-Link DVI-I & 1x Mini-HDMI 1.3a (Includes HDMI & VGA Adapters)

Benchmarks dont show the internal differences.

The GTX480 has more computation cores (Stream processors) the memory bandwidth is higher.

GTX480 - 480 cores
GTX560 - 384 cores

GTX480 - 177GB/sec memory bandwidth
GTX560 - 128GB/sec memory bandwidth

GTX480 - 48 Rops
GTX560 - 32 Rops

It goes on and on.

There are various other items which make the 480 faster like memory bandwidth and processing cores, not just actual speed.

great comments guys,

One thing ive noticed is the 480 looks very power hungry will my corsair gs 600 psu be ok to run this?
I will also have 3 120mm led fans in addition to the ones that come in the coolermaster CM690. I'm hoping to overclock slightly too.

You should be ok, with my system in my sig before I got the 580 I manged to get 615w with Furmark and prime together.

But Furmark will stress the gpu to a much higher settimg than any will do.

I have a pair of those and for the price they do a decent job gaming wise. However they're supposed to block outside noise (closed-ear design) but unless I recieved a 377 in a 367's packing, they don't cancel outside noise very well.
