Was just reversing out of the drive in the missus MX5 and managed to reverse into a stonking great RangeRover parked on the other side of the road :(

If i can get him to agree to do it outside of insurance what do you reckon the price would be to fix his car?

Its a 55 plate Range Rover HSE, it looks big and expensive so im guessing won't be cheap atall to fix?

Luckily the MX5 has nothing bit a bit of a scratch in the bumper which should polish out so that's something i guess

Put it through the insurance, thats going to be a few quid that.

I came in expecting carnage and found only a parking ding because you can't reverse :(

Does nobody look while reversing of their drive? Someone once did a similar thing to my mum's car.

I can't help, but my friend did the opposite. Drove a Range Rover over an MX5! They both belonged to the same bloke!

I think a bit more than that, the mans going to want a complete brand new wing, plus liner that door needs painting too.

I reccon theres 2k there all day long.

Plus a sill moulding, looks like the sill has gone back a bit too.

Haha well its still got the hardtop on, lots of other cars parked in stupid places on the road as next door is doing up their garden so a big skip is in their drive. Just didn't see it due to all the other cars around which is no excuse, just a massive FAIL :(

Will just let it go through insurance as you say, couldn't hit anything more expensive!

Did you not look back while reversing?

People get into a routine which they do every day and get used to it without thinking or looking. Suddenly one day a car is parked there and bam. I can see how it could happen. Especially if you have just woken up or are in a rush.

Hopefully now the OP will not be lazy and reverse into his drive from now on!

That is defo insurance though which I hope you are as it's your missus car.

Exactly this happened to my Dad - due to road works we had to park on the verge opposite our neighbour's drive. The neighbour went out at night, and reversed clean into the driver's door on my Dad's car.

BANG!
