Hi guys,

Just installed 2x 5870's in my machine, with crossfire enabled ( I have tried wow/blackops/crysis2 ) they all are laggy even on low settings.

If i disable crossfire everything works fine, I have tried older drivers but unsure what else to do.

I have uninstalled the old ones first and then reinstalled the new ones.

Thanks.

i7 920
12gb DDR3 tripple channel.
Asus p6t

Nothing seems to be bottlenecking, cpu/ram/hdd look fine.

its the same for me mate Black ops runs like a dog 100fps but is very jurky and its the same for crysis 2 but bioshok 2 runs great and bad company 2 runs fantastic.

Going to sound silly, but I got that annoyed with it I took the liberty of reinstalling the OS sounds extreme, but it worked!

must have fiddled with something or the drivers maybe didnt upgrade properly.

I lie still having issues, but a lot less worse than it was.

One thing I have noticed is that the top card runs with the fan at 100% on boot and nothing shows on the display at all, I am starting to think maybe there is something wrong with the new card. if i reboot it a few times it does come back.

the performance isn't *great* there is still lag and low fps during gameplay I have tried a few more different older drivers and the caps profiles.

MSI Afterburner is like CCC but much more prefered to use for fan profiles and overclocking.

Do you have vsync turned on? Sometimes that can cause issues for multi-GPU setups.
