Just watching the highlights on the news. I love it when William & Kate come out onto the balcony at Buckingham Palace, Kate looks up and sees the crowd and says "oh my god". Really nice 'human' moment.

To all of you moaning about the royal wedding: how about you take down your vomit-inducing wedding photos off Facebook. I have little interest in it. No, really

If and when I get married it won't dominate the news and most other channels for two months beforehand.

You won't be bombarded night and day by "news" about how late the bride will be, what shirt I'm likely to wear, or which celebrities won't be attending

unfortunatley though i got to a high vantage point i failed to view the memorial flight which was due to fly close to where i live.

That's because your life is boring and nobody cares. There is however actual interest in their lives, from both the media, the fashion industry, the people of this country and all around the world.

Plus it wasn't mandatory to watch any of this, I haven't been bombarded by anything as I never watch TV, but watched on the BBC News site and it was awesome.

The cake

Sums up the whole day, really: very elegant, dignified and reserved - just what a British royal event should be. It's great to be British! I wonder how it would have been if the US had done one.
