Outland-Superb new XBLA 2d game bit like Limbo/Prince Of Persia only much prettier!

Just came out & if you love Limbo or any other retro 2D platform game with superb graphics then this is a great game. There is a demo as well but I'm sure most players will buy it as its such an easy game to pick up & play & the gfx are very nice for such a small download (527MB). This is only 800MSP as well! Same developers as Super Stardust HD on PS3!!! How on earth they have managed to cram so much awesome content into such a small download is amazing. XBLA is really geting its act together & releasing some great games recently :D this is one of the best they have ever released definately a top 5 from me!!!!

Bought it as soon as it was released, pretty much on the strength of Housemarques other games. It is visually very striking, but I do find it quite infuriating at times.

With Superstardust, Dead Nation and Outland Housemarque have quite a nice library of games. Im also a fan Golf : Tee it Up which as an early release for them on XBLA.

Watched the trailer, looks really impressive.

The only thing is though I end up not playing these games after buying them. Happened with Limbo and a couple of others.

Do really love the art style.
 
Thanks for the tip on this one, I downloaded the trial this afternoon and loved it so bought it immediatly. The sound and graphics are amazing, just love the feel and the gameplay is classic, reminds me of flashback/another world from years ago.

It also makes me wonder what other good XBLA games I've missed as I've only bought Tomb Raider. I'll probably do a new thread asking for some recommendations as I have over 10,000 MS points doing nothing, and have been doing nothing for a while...
 
Castle crashers is another good one.

Trails HD, geometry wars, double dragon, battle field 1943... all worth looking at.

One thing I really like about XBL games is the trial demos.

This looks great as well, I'll take a look later.

All of these are excellent & well worth the price :D
 
Played the demo earlier and really enjoyed it.
I think it'll get very tricky later on when having to swap between light and dark. My reactions aren't that good nowadays :o
