Lian li pc Xb01.....what's the point?

Just looking on the lian li website and they've got the "new" pc xb01 case on there which allows you to take apart your xbox 360 to put it in this case for cooler, quieter running.

I can't really see the point of this anymore.

Why would you pay £100 for the case and risk voiding your xbox360 warranty to put it in here when you can buy a new one for around £150 which looks much nicer and is near silence.

The only benefit I can see is the fun of the build and opportunity to water cool.

I think the fun of building/"modding" it (and the opportunity to show it off) is the only real point.

I wouldn't bother personally, but I guess Lian Li think someone will...

The XB01 is 2 1/2 years old now, so I'm not quite sure why you've posted this.

There WAS a point to them when the Xbox was overheating like a ******* and was RROD as far as the eye could see, but those problems have been largely tackled now.

I'm not even sure Lian Li still make them, but I'd be tempted to Mini-ITX the **** out of a XB01 though

I didn't realise it was that old. It's on the front page of the lian li website so presumed it was a new case which I didn't see a point to, hence the thread!

I wouldn't, I have Micro ATX cases smaller
