not many thing's seem too max out my 3 gpu's

Can't you just use the 6990 and take out the other card and maybe sell it! Then your CPU will have less strain and surely the 6990 will handle any game @ 1080 with ease!

but im planing not to upgrade the graphics side for atleast 2years+. so what i thought was the additional performance that i don't really need right now, will come in handly in the future?

also i bought a new psu (Corsair AX1200 1200w) to have tri-crossfire

i have about £200 for 1 other upgrade (motherboard am3+, or 8GB memory or a sound card or a OCZ Vertex 3 ssd) can't decided which.

Another monitor for 5760x1080 awesomeness OR 3240x1920. Now that will stress your trifire out :p.

Since you don't need all that horsepower for 1080p, I propose you give me your 6950 which will go beautifully in my HTPC.

In return you can have a lovely Palit 9800GT which can be used as a multi-purpose device.

For example a PhysX card, garden trowel, wife beater, snow shovel, sandwich filler, nose picker etc etc. The possibilities are truly endless with a top end card such as the Palit! :p

save it and get bulldozer when its out 8 core , i think ur motherboard is compatible with it i think so well ch4 is not sure about giga

be glad you cpu is bottle necking your gpus. that only means you would have to spend less to a upgrade in 2 years time. When larger processors come out, upgrade to it. keep upgrading your processor till a game you play all time time doesnt get good fps with your gpus.

Even if you take out the cpu as a bottlenecking factor, I think you just have massive amount of GPU power as stated previously. I may be wrong but gpu usage depends on games algorithm implementation aswell in that how well the algorithm/programming has been optimised to take full advantage of gpu processing power. Kinda like cpu usage and it's relationship with programs.

Those are extraordinary framerates for Metro at 1080p. If you want to make your GPU's work harder you need a bigger screen.
i guess u mean bigger res.... already got a big screen ;)

the problem about getting a bigger res screen would mean a much smaller screen than im using (46"), also would cost £700+ for a 30". using eyefinity gives bigger res but also gives headaches and neck ache, i control my pc with my chin so having 3 screens i'd have to turn my head left and right more....

Indeed.

If you want higher GPU usage and frame rate at 1920 res, you need ditch the slow Phenom II architecture and and move onto SandyBridge or Bulldozer when it's out (if it's decent).

However, if you are gonna up your res, like to 2560 or going Eyefinity, then your current CPU would probably be fine.

It is this simply.

has it's normal , i'm not worryed about it for now.

i think i may upgrade the motherboard to a am3+ when they come out then get a Bulldozer...
