Hey guys.

Got my Q6600 to 3.0ghz and wanted to make sure these settings seem ok.

I did a multipler of x9. FSB at 333. Then I stuck my 800mhz ram at 833. I put the voltage of the CPU to about 1.3.

That says my ram is at 400mhz which I dont understand fully.

Its very stable and seems nice and quick but just wanted to me sure to put my mind at rest.

Just waiting for my 5830 and I am done.

Cheers

Hi

Thanks, now I understand.

I take it 833 is OK on 800mhz ram. Not a major increase. PC boots and runs fine, so I am thinking all settings are good. But like to get an expert say yeah numbers are all fine. If it breaks now its just one of those things, nothing I have set wrong.

833 is a very mild overclock so that is fine. Generally most Q6600s can reach 3.0GHz on stock voltage or the VID which can be found from coretemp program.

Hi

Thanks again for checking for me. I am a happy bunny right now :) I wont go past 3.0ghz just in case. Right now after I dropped the voltage few days back to what it is now. Idle is 33 and full load is about 57-60 under prime95. So I probs could goto 3.2/3.4 at a rough guess, but I wont. 3.0 is fine for me.

Thanks again for your time my mind is at rest :)

i could get my q6600 to 3.6 with a arctic freezer pro but once i was past 3ghz i didnt notice much difference so ran it at 3ghz and dropped the voltage as low as it could go
