Just went to open the door to someone and the wind shut the door on my way out, was walking around in the neighbourhood with no shoes on, luckily had the conservatory door open so asked one of the neighbours if I could climb from their garden to mine LOL

I'm such a clutz :D

Lol, better than when I tried to climb through a second floor window but had to have the ladder at a poor angle to get over the conservatory.

Well as I reached the top the ladder decided to remove itself from the equation and I fell through the conservatory.

The upshot was that the inner door was unlocked so I wasn't locked out anymore.....

Me and the missus nipped to the corner shop and snapped the key on the lock when we got back. Thankfully we left a window open as it was summer and strangely no-one thought owt of us going round asking for ladders and then climbing through it in full view of everyone!

I admire the good old British spirit at work here :D

Breaking into your own house is always fun - only had to do it once

We were on Spain and we had to break into the car (friends car) smashing the window was the only way in again haha.

Was in Butlins for my cousins birthday (no idea why she wanted to go there) and the door wouldn't open so we broke in through the backdoor using kitchen utensils

I was once locked out at about 3am ,I had to break a small kitchen window and let my self in. I then took the laptop and any other valuables i could carry.

I broke my key in the lock (yale ), and found out how easy it was to break into the house with no damage. Very quickly changed the front door and lock.

LOL that's just Butlins, I swear I nearly demolished half of one of those huts before they moved me into a proper suite.

Don't think I've ever had to break in to our house.

If I do get locked out it should be fairly simple. Knock on the neighbours door and ask them for their key!

My mate once got locked in his porch. Both doors were locked but he thought the porch was unlocked. He went out the front door without his keys, tried to open the porch and oops.

My dog woke me up a couple of weeks ago, he was just about to go sick. I quickly grabbed his collar, (to keep hold of him) and took him outside. I tried to pull the door whilst still leaving it slightly ajar, to stop the other animals getting out of the house. As I put my hand on the door handle, the dog pulled me down the street. My hand was still on the door and it locked behind me.

Had to walk to the center of town after just waking up, walking my dog with no lead. Was very embarrassing.

i did exactly that when the folks were away. had to use a bit of metal i found in there to smash through the inner door window :p

The lock on our front door was broken when we arrived home after midnight in monsoon like rain.

smashed the window. Quite enjoyed it until I was in bed thinking I was gonna get raped as anyone could get in.

When I was a child, my grandma and her 3 sisters used to take all of us grandchildren (12 of us) to a caravan park place by the sea during the Easter holidays.

One day we got back to the caravan to find that one of the oldies had gone off into town, and they realised to their horror that she had the keys. My 65 year old great aunt climbed up on my grandma's shoulders, shimmied through the absolutely tiny bathroom window which had been left open, got herself stuck along the way and ended up landing on her face on the other side.

To find that the sister who had taken the keys had come back, had gone for a nap in the caravan, and the door was open the whole time :D
