Parking on the pavement

slam id love to argue the toss with you because you really are a bit special but sadly i gotta go out soon, anyway see ya soon :D

Nah i dont even do that, thats the day i bought it, but anything to annoy poor slam :) Cos i know he loves me :)

Pavements are built to bear pedestrians and the like, roads for cars et al.

The overall construction is quite different so parking cars will ruin a pavement then have everyone moaning about that as well, let alone ambulance chasers suing the council if some one falls over and then moaning about that as well.

I always park on the pavement **** them

**** colour though

Anyone who moans about parking half on a pavement when the other option is to legally park on a road and then make traffic flow worse is a tool.

This is my view, but I worry that the rozzers would take a different view if this busybody made good on her threat to call them.

If its as you say and everyone else on this street also parks on the pavement simply because if you parked on the road it would block the road. Then I would not have accomodated this busybody at all, infact Id have been damn right rude to her and told her to get a grip and to call the rozzers.

I didnt know it was illegall! We do it all the time when we work on network rail sites, so do dozens of other contractors

Sorry but there is nothing more infuriating than having to take a pram into the road because some selfish...... has stuck their car in the middle of the pavement. The amount of times I felt like picking up a road cone and flinging it through their windscreen.
Cars - road
pedestrians - pavement

Perfectly fine when cars can park fully on a road without blocking it, thats when they should not be on the pavement.

According to the OP all the cars in his street park partially on the pavement as otherwise it would block the road off. So in such circumstances what should he do?

As long as there's enough room for the 'won't somebody PLEASE think of the children' crew, then there'll be no bother! ;)

Otherwise, expect a cone through your windscreen!

OMG think of the children heaven forbid I had to take my 12 ft wide pram around a car. Where did I leave that cone.

Meanwhile back in the real world its also worth noting that you where parking on the pavement to allow the recommended gap needed for fire engines. Just in case one of the precious children sets there house on fire you wouldn't want that road blocked would you ;)
