Deionized Water

I need to top up my reservoir which currently contains distilled water, some corrosion blocker and a silver kill coil. Im struggling to find distilled water in shops, but saw some Deionized water for Car batteries and Irons, in the Tesco near me.

Will Deionized be fine to use in my loop? I had a quick google but couldn't seem to find an agreed consensus. Some say its fine and others say you should use distilled instead.

You will be able to get purified water from the chemists . . . . I could never find Distilled either!

I'm pretty sure de-ionised will do just fine. It is non conductive.

Deionized is fine & remember to add a silver coil.

The ions are what carry the charge so deionised will be fine.

Purified water should be fine. But just check that it isn't RO (reverse osmosis ) water. RO water is surprisingly aggressive and will dissolve a small amount of copper.

Also, water of any purity will conduct electricity.

There's nothing wrong with de-ionised water (or even reverse osmosis!).
