Tablet-time! Transformer or iPad2?

The shinyness of new things has twisted your logic slightly, but I suppose most of us on this forum have been there once or twice. Enjoy your tablet!

At least it's not as bad as this guy I knew at uni who thought he'd use his overdraft to spend £75 on Guitar Hero stuff.....:rolleyes:

lol :), im never without a few quid in my bank, i can take care of money.

I think to gain a better perspective on the transformer, i should nip over to a curry house or a world of pc's to have a play aobut with one, see what its like, size, speed etc etc.

Hopefully they have an iPad2 in there, but im slightly doubtful, just so i can have a looksee at that as well :)
 
Well simples, I really don't like anything Apple. I like to beable to use my hardware, not be told what I can and can't do on it.

Oh yeah and flash.

I think i've summed up my options, for now anyway.

Probably will go with the Transformer, going to keep looking at unboxings and reviews to look at the interface :D Honeycomb looks nice nice nice!

If and when i get it, ill stick some pics on here of an small unboxing :) or in the Transformer Thread :D

I've just looked at a couple of reviews of the Transformer and it looks great. If I were getting a tablet it would probably be at the top of my list.

You're putting words in his mouth there, I'm sure Mr Paul would resent that slightly and that doesn't add anything useful to the thread. You like Apple products, we get it.

You can make a case against the iPad and Apple stuff without resorting to fanboy nonsense.

I do like Apple products, but no more than any other products. I'm just not one of these fools that 'hates' Apple for no real reason.

I know. Are you saying Mr Paul is? He even gave a reason in his post and I'm sure could explain more for you if asked. Don't assume someone is talking rubbish if you simply don't agree with them.

@OP glad you decided, don't think you'd be disappointed with either tablet by the sounds of what you're after. Make sure you post those pics up though! There a quite a few people who've picked up the transformer on these forums recently. Hopefully the software will improve though, if you've read the Engadget review they had a few niggles.

When I first read it, it seemed a very generic anti-Apple post. On reflection it may not be, so fair enough.

There are hardly any people in this particular forum who have anything good to say about Apple and most of their reasoning is absolutely rubbish. It may appear that I'm 'sticking up' for Apple when I'm actually just trying to keep things balanced to some extent, otherwise this forum is going to be no better than the Apple forum you all hate so much.
 
Off topic, but I think the main reason there's a lot of "apple hate" is because Apple ask for it, they really do.

Read it when i first started browsing, hopefully should get it maybe 3 to 4 weeks time, but pictures will be up.

I was thinking a while back of doing a build log, but then got too excited and just built it, with no pictures :(

This time i will post pictures, hopefully then they might have some screenshot application so i can take piccies and post them to show interface etc.

And i dont mind apple hate, but the thing i always say is, "if you were given one for free, you wouldn't complain would you" :)
 
Oh dear, oh dear. I clearly gave my reasons and thus stand by them. I need flash and i dont like to be locked down ala apple ios.

It would be nice to have Flash but I can only think of a handful of examples of popular websites that use it extensively, it tends to be smaller sites and adverts.

For things like YouTube the app is more than sufficient, as has been said already.

I still think Apple should implement it though, and have an option to turn it on/off in the settings, they have no excuse other than being awkward.
