Osama bin Laden is dead - no graphic/violent images.

America launched an attack in a sovereign nation against the express rules of how America could operate inside Pakistan.

The agreement, as I understand it was that the CIA could operate within Pakistan but military operations were not sanctioned.

How did America get around this, by having Navy Seals seconded to the CIA.

Using the same agreement that Pakistan wouldn't harbour terrorists.

Haven't read the whole 8 pages but my feelings on this are:

He was captured along time ago, probably shortly after 9/11
They have been getting intelligence from him ever since.
They no longer need him so fabricate his death.

Our troops are obviously needed elsewhere and this is just the start of another bullcrap story that has started to unravel.

I just dont believe he's only just been killed. sorry it just doesnt wash.

PS- his body has been buried at sea already!!!

They must think the whole world are bloody idiots.

WOW, he was living only a few hundred METERS from the main Pakistani military base in a big sealed off compound :eek: For shame Pakistan, for shame!.

Since when did assassination equal justice?

Being killed in an attempt to capture is not assassination.

In reply to your earlier post on the legality of the operation within Pakistani borders without their permission, you have no idea of what permissions they had or required so I find it a little presumptuous to judge it until the Pakistani Authorities either confirm or deny such accusations.

What was being said?

Basically that the Government wouldn't have been told a thing, and that they will be hurrying to put out a statement saying "Oh yes, we fully new about this Pakistan/USA joint operation" to try and stop people thinking America can just come in willy nilly and do what they want.

Also CIA have full Authority to operate within Pakistan, the American military doesnt.

So the Navy Seals were operating under the command of the head of the CIA to avoid any issues.

So the world police have been at it again, launching a military operation in a sovereign land without the knowledge or permission of Pakistan in all likelihood.

Pakistan's Foreign Office has released a statement confirming the operation: "In an intelligence driven operation, Osama Bin Ladin was killed in the surroundings of Abbotabad in the early hours of this morning. This operation was conducted by the US forces in accordance with declared US policy that Osama Bin Ladin will be eliminated in a direct action by the US forces, wherever found in the world."

Stop with your conspiracy theories.

There is an image, yes, but I have no doubt some will question whether it is bin Laden or not.
It isn't - the skin tone changes between the top and bottom half of the face, and Bin Laden's beard, which is jet black in the photo, was turning grey 10 years ago.
