It makes perfect sense to me - take DNA samples and photograph the body and teeth for ID confirmation, maybe slice him open to see if he really did have kidney problems, and then throw the body into the sea before his resting place can become an issue.

I am sure we will get one or two pictures of the body (like Saddam's sons) and perhaps a few of the wrapped body being put overboard.

I'm not happy he is dead. Death was too good a punishment for this evil being. By killing him all they have done is secure his transition into martyrdom.

I don't for one minute believe it will make one iota of difference in the greater scheme of things though other than to boost Obama's election campaign for a 2nd term and to force Al-Quaeda to retaliate or lose face.

If you cut the head of the snake, the body will die - all good and well but the body writhes furiously for a while afterwards and that is my fear, Al-Queada will strike back in some form or another accompanied with the announcement of a new leader - better the Devil you know?
