Osama bin Laden is dead - no graphic/violent images.

Were British intelligence aware of it, or at least something happening. I think the fact that William and Kate decided to not leave the county suggest someone said something.

That is assuming you believe that the goverment told the truth about him being the so called mastermind behind 911, which is probably the biggest set of conincidences that has ever happened in a row. Love how he got the towers to fall in the exact same way buildings fall under controlled demolition, and he ever managed to do it to WTC-7, even though it wasn't hit. Magic!!! :eek:

Agreed. But it will give the boy wonder Obama something to point to when more "attacks" come. He can say with a straight face "it's retaliation for us killing Osama" blah blah :o

Of course they will, it's too much of a good thing having people scared witless about where the next "attack" is going to take place. After all Al-Queada AKA The Database of Mujahideen fighters recruited, trained and armed by the likes of the CIA and other agencies, is an instrument of fear. The more fear, the more laws & restictions come into play thus the more of your right's are taken away. It's all a game to them.
 
It's more likely that he is alive and being questioned by the US intelligence services. Had the US paraded him on TV for the worlds media, the resulting reprisal attacks from extremists would have been severe. Better to say he's dead than admit he's alive.

Also, if he really is dead, burying him at sea is the only way to ensure their isn't a physical location where people can mourn him. Even by burying him in secret there is a chance his body will be traced.

As for your ratings premise; the death of Bin Laden reinforces the bush doctrine and his war on terror. This goes some way towards providing justification for the war in Afghanistan. Whilst Obama may get a temporary gain in the polls, ultimately he along with the democrats who were against the war, will suffer politically.

What's more worrying having seen the pictures from outside the White House is the sentiment of the US public who see Al Qaeda's and terrorism's centre of mavity as Bin Laden himself. The comedian Rich Hall said it best when he called terrorism a franchise. Terrorism won't end with Bin Laden, despite the opinions of some Americans.
 
Lol @ his bodys been disposed off, as soon as I heard they are announcing he's dead I knew 100% they wouldn't have his body. More lies as usual by the sounds of it. No real shock they put him in Pakistan aswel.
 
Oh, come on! Already the conspiracy mentals are doing what they do best? Seriously? Don't they have to consult with the mothership to make sure their nonsense is all aimed at the same supposed 'cover up'?

There's probably a few good reasons why they had to dispose of the body that quickly, possibly to avoid the extremists trying to reclaim the body or to prevent feuding over where the body goes.

It would be funny (sort of) if he popped up on TV in a few days time proclaiming "I ain't dead yet" though :p
