Osama bin Laden is dead - no graphic/violent images.

Would you agree that Western foreign policy fuels terrorism?

Well since the fuel for OBL's fire was US military bases in Saudi Arabia during Gulf War 1 it's hard to disagree with that statement. I think the real question however is; Should Western foreign policy be set up to appease terrorists?

Wow! deleted the obvious photoshop morph photo montage of Osoomo Bin-Lid.

Never mind it is widely available on the internet.

Now the laughable photo has been shown to be a blatant hoax, I expect a convenient video found in a VCR will emerge in a minute with Bin-Lid admitting he is dead.

Only ONE western msm is now admitting to the image fakery and that's coming out of the main Norwegian Newcasters. Everywhere else (Fox, CNN, Sky, BBC, etc) still feeding us this crap.

The 9/11 commission report does name him as being ultimately responsible.

hahaha you cant believe a word of that 911 commision report, it left out lots of things, like building 7, the war games that were going on that drew the majority of the fighters so far away they couldnt respond in any amount of time a load of other things. not to mention the fact that the head of the commision, Philip Zelikow, deliberatley steered the commision away from looking at evidence that would have blown holes in the white house story.

It also mentions 10 times between May 98-99 when Clinton had opportunity to kill him in kandahar , which he never saw through.

Of course he never saw it through, Osama was working for the CIA at the time. Why would he destroy his own asset?

you can call me a conspiracy nut all day if it makes you feel better in your little bubble but there is enough evidence out there, and while yes ill agree some of it is disinformation there is enough facts to at the very least make you consider the alternative of what the goverment says.

I would like to believe the goverment has out best interests at heart, stands for us, listens to us, but we all know that would be a lie.

The fake image is over a year old and was not actually released by the US so...

Be as you may but we must have our own loyalties.

Whilst you are true to an extent, I think the amount of good things our leaders do helps the balance, whereas bin laden didn't do anything good.

Exactly...your saying our opinion is based on our loyalties...ie what side we are on, not actual empirical data. This just leads to close mindedness and extermism on both sides.

You say bin laden did *nothing* good.....but what do you actually know of what he did apart from what your side is telling you. He was supposedly a very quiet, humble man, intelligent and well educated and I'm sure he did a lot of good for "his people" - which just as the good you see our leaders do, would balance out the bad Bin Laden did in his peoples opinion.

There are just as many people in the world who dont think he was an evil terrorist, but a freedom fighter and who do think Bush/Blair are the terrorists. So, their opinion is wrong and ours is right just because of "sides" ?

There is no absolute right or wrong - generally might is right. It was a war (on both sides) and we killed him before he killed "us"...we won this part of the battle, thats all - I dont see any moral high ground being won.

Martin McGuinness was an "evil terrorist" who murdered people, now he is part of the ruling elite *shrug*

Its easy to use pejorative statements to mould peoples opinions to how we want them to think only to change them when it suits our aims.

It's more likely that he is alive and being questioned by the US intelligence services. Had the US paraded him on TV for the worlds media, the resulting reprisal attacks from extremists would have been severe. Better to say he's dead than admit he's alive.

He's dead, it's incredibly unlikely that he wouldn't top himself to avoid capture if he didn't think there was a way out.

Conspiracy a'hoy captain.

Fantastic news as far as I'm concerned, the douche bag got what he deserved. I bet the guy who got the kill shot must be very happy :D

Of course this isn't going to have any impact on the terrorists, by all accounts he hasn't run things for years. But I don't buy into the 'oh this is terrible, we killed a poor little old man and now we are gonna feel the wrath of the terrorists' rubbish.

All the terrorists hate us anyway, all we have to do is so much as put a Christmas card in the window, name a teddy bear Mohammed, draw a cartoon or burn the Koran and they're out to get us. It's not like they've been bloomin well holding back and are now sat there thinking 'Hmmm you silly infidels, we were attacking with only 50% power, now we will go to 100%'.

Whether Bin Laden lived or died these guys hate our very way of life and the fact we exist at all and will do anything to attack us, sure this could result in some cells getting jumpy and attempting to pull something off in the very near future, but they would have done something sooner or later anyway, at least we can but hope that in their haste they mess things up and get caught that bit easier.
