You know the biggest /facepalm part to this whole story?

BBC News said:
Crowds gathered outside the White House in Washington DC, chanting "USA, USA" after the news emerged.

I mean seriously?

Burying him at sea immediatly was a completely ridiculous idea - it now provides plenty of ammo for the tinfoil hat brigade, well done

What if the headshot mean that the 'trolls' could say if can't be identified as being him? Besides the same people will still be claiming it's been doctored or is old and has just been announced for political reasons.

Releasing such imagery maybe distasteful, inflammatory and seen as propaganda.

Conspiracy nuts are going to be conspiracy nuts.

UK wasn't involved. We dont take out the bins on bank holidays

First one of these comments to make me lol :D

It'd be interesting to know the full details, although it probably won't be declassified in our lifetimes. Terrorist leaders, unauthorised military black-ops, a crashed chopper (ah-64?) and all the other associated intelligence work would make for some story.

Does questioning what you are told really make you a conspiracy nut or a member of the tinfoil hat brigade?

I think there are going to be plenty of non 'conspiracy nuts' a tad confused as to why there seems to be absolutely no actual evidence of his death beyond the say so of the USA who apparently dumped the body in the sea within hours.

It isn't exactly the most transparent end to the decade long hunt for one of the world's most wanted men.

'Shock as Americans do something stupid'

Does questioning what you are told really make you a conspiracy nut or a member of the tinfoil hat brigade?

In this case, yeah.

I can just imagine you lot in Tesco.

'That'll be £5.99 please'
'WILL IT REALLY? WHY SHOULD I BELEIVE YOU? I QUESTION WHAT I AM TOLD!111'

Do you blindly accept what the media tells us as the truth then?

I've been quoted the wrong price at Tesco before. They don't like it when you correct them
