Looks like Obama will get a second term then....

Lol :D:D

He dead, its announced on the may day bank holiday, gives us all a whole day to think about it.

Its a good thing, stuff will calm down and I have a good reason not to watch the news today

So stop using a forged image as proof of his death.

Benazir Bhutto told you years ago that he was dead!

Buried at sea! Says it all really doesn't it?

Obama will get his next term because of this "victory". He will now have an excuse to invade Pakistan. The encirclemnent of Iraq will be complete, which is their ultimate goal. Hopefully Russia and China wil then join in the fray and the **** will then really hit the fan.

I believe the timing is to coincide with the withdrawal of ground troops from Afghanistan. The western sheeple need a non-existant psychological victory before the troops are pulled. The media can claim some sort of victory and some kind of ending to this mess, as if you actually achieved anything the last eight years.

It's a fake stupid! A bit like your imaginary WMD's that Saddam had. Can't you understand the simplicity of that? or is way over your head?

Wow - I only logged back on to ask where I EVER said anything about my "imaginary WMD's that Saddam had" has come from?

You're a troll - no mistake. You are just trying to wind people up, not trying to make intelligent debate. Now **** off.

Now I'm guilty of it!!!!!!!!

It must be true - otherwise Bin Laden himself could simply release another video which would have devestating effects on the US.

You wouldnt make this sort of claim unless you were certain that wouldnt happen.

I suspect the only credible other theory is that he has been captured alive..

It wouldn't surprise me if he has pre-made a video showing that he is still alive, and Al Qaeda are just waiting for a bit before they release it.

Tbh the main thing that gets me is that he was killed 'resisting arrest' by a headshot? Call me crazy but that sounds like an execution, and more to the point, USA would surely have taken him alive at any cost?
I can believe he knew his game was up and shot himself in the head, but i refuse to believe the Americans shot him because he was resisting. There is way more to this story than we're being told.

The whole 'buried at sea' thing just sounds like an excuse for them to not properly show the body. Could be anything from he's alive and in US custody or he is genuinely dead.

Good news of course, but were the deaths of so many innocent Afghan and Pakistani civilians worth it? It was the meddling of foreign powers that created Al Qaeda in the first place. Maybe we can learn a lesson and stop being so imperialistic, but I guess not. Our politicians will carry on working in the interests of the rich and powerful.

Since this compound doesn't sound like it was heavily guarded, he was probably armed himself, and doing a bit more than 'resisting arrest'.

Hah!

Its in line with Islamic tradition to bury the body within 24 hours (whether you agree or not, Obama has repeatedly said he's not at war with Islam and I suppose treating the enemy with some jot of respect is an attempt to take the high ground). It was done at sea to prevent a focal point or martyr's shrine. It's the same reason the Russian's destroyed Hitler's remains. I think it was a sensible idea: "Osama is dead and gone. We won't dignify his death with a parade, nor gloat about it straight away with gory photos."

It's not in line with Islamic tradition to dump/bury at sea.... only when land cannot be reached. It is extraordinary to take a body from land and bury it at sea.

Guy just been on sky news questioning it saying doing this raises more questions BUT there was around 24 hours and the body was able to be pictured so here's hoping they have gathered sufficient evidence to quash any theories.

Well yes he was almost certainly armed himself, but 'resisting arrest' and 'headshot' sound slightly too specific.
