What are they like? I love the books but didn't really hear much about the movies. My local tesco got The Terry Pratchett Collection (Hogfather, Colour of Magic, Going Postal) fort £18, can be bought bit cheaper online.
Worth getting?

Thanks

I liked all of them. CoM/LF feels as if someone has just taken the book the others have more adaption as a story.

Would like Guards, Guards, Guards to be done.

If you have read the books- All terrible as they dont translate to the screen at all well.

If you have not read the books- mildly enjoyable.

Are they doing any more TV films?

I think that will depend on who is willing to pay for them, and how close they keep to the books, but if they are I suspect it'll be about a year before the next one as so far they've been 2 years apart (Hogfather 2006, Colour of Magic 08, Going Postal 10).
I'd like to see another one (one of the Watch ones preferably), but so far I haven't heard any rumours, and I'm not sure if Sky are even doing new commissioned big budget drama at the moment (they've never done much, and it seems they are more concerned with Sky Atlantic as their big "drama" push at the moment).

Just watched Going Postal with my girlfriend. She's never read anything by Terry Prachet and she really enjoeyd it. So did I. Read the book 4-5 years ago so don't remember it all that well anymore but didn't really notice anything 'wrong'.

You might also be able to get hold of the cartoon adaptions of Wyrd Sisters and Soul Music which I enjoyed. From quite a few years ago now though.

They are all awful. Ifyou're a fan of the books, stick with them and steer clear of the movies. What has been seen, can't be unseen! (Pardon the pun).

I love the books and have really liked hog father and going postal, I think colour of magic suffered most from being too crammed in and sky insisting david jason was the star. Nigel planer was by far the obvious choice imo.

Looking forward to the watch series.

Not a tv adaptation but theres currently a radio play if night watch on radio 4 extra, really enjoying it

I love the books, but am not a fan of the films. It's not that they're bad as such, I just don't like the tone of them, it doesn't fit with the image in my head at all, and I'm very fond of them. I won't bother seeing any more in case they taint my mental image!
