Luther

Watched the first episode and thought it was rubbish. Just 'another' BBC crime drama. Hey look at us, we talk really fast, say big words and act all smart. And yes I'm that guy from that other show you should be watching right now.

Will give episode two a go, but if its the same, then nah not for me.
 
Got a bit more interesting last night. Slightly Americanised with all the 'bent coppers, but we mean well' stuff, but yeah enjoyed it.
 
I stand by what I said before, this show just gets better and better. You can sort of see why the first episode was a bit rubbish - it had to set up his relationship with Alice. But episode 5 was top class, and episode six looks like a cracker.
 
It was falling into the "Villain/Monster of the Week" format that a lot of British dramas seem to use which is a bit of struggle to do justice to in 1 hour, the latest ep switched that up a bit and was better for it IMHO.

Finally got around to watching all 6 episodes that have been residing on my Sky box for a few weeks now. I have to say it's the best BBC cop drama i've watched. It's really enjoyable and a bit unconventional with the Killer/Cop relationship. I hope there's a second series! :)

i saw a trailer for various bbc dramas yesterday which featured luther, so there may yet be a 2nd series. im hoping that there is a 2nd series as the 1st was amazing.
 
Aye it's a set of 'two 2 hour specials' sometime in 2011.

Shame it's not a longer set, but nice to have regardless and better than that Vera garbage that was on last night! :)
