I used do a similar thing with my macbook but I got sick of having to open it up to turn it on, so now I run it open as a second monitor. It's a little thing but it annoyed me greatly!

Tbh its mainly always connected to the monitor so just let standby & bluetooth keyboard 'wake from sleep' do its magic.

Ah cool. I never really got into the habit of leaving my computers on (especially laptops). Just seems wrong!

How annoying. I saw that desk on Tuesday, and was going to order one Wednesday, but they have gone into Administration. Balls. This happened to me with MFI as well. I fail at shopping.

Shame they are going out of business. Should have picked up that desk over Easter. Currently I have an Ikea pine desk which is donkeys old. I have completely ruined the surface though with a combination of knife indents, paint, screwdrivers and things. What I liked about that desk is that is only 10cm shorter width wise than what I currently have: desks a decent size are hard to come by these days.

Excuse the glare, it was a bloody sunny day!

My 28" Hanspree sat next to my 22" v7 monitors.

My PC is out of shot, to the left of the printer.

Think I paid £15 for it awhile ago when it was on offer in tesco.
