Did anyone else take advantage..

Yeah, didn't do a great deal apart from re-case my computer, drink, smoke and generally mess around. Gutted to be going back in the morning. 04:30 wake up, owch!

I did, but thanks to my shifts, used 6 days AL and got from the 18th April til 6th May off.

Pretty much the same amount of time that PSN has been down!

I did, but left my phone on and asked if I fancied coming in on Wednesday, being me said yes as I was helping a college as I know the plant, ended up not a bad in the end.

I did, Went to Rome for 4 nights and got engaged, Been back and had a nice bbq and walk around Hamsterley forest, Which I've then been back to today and rode some of the trails with my cousin.

Been quite a good week off. :)

Well, without trying to bring the mood of the thread down, I've spent the majority of the last 11 days off feeling miserable and lonely, it's been great.

In between this I've had a few very very good nights out which have taken my mind of things, followed by a day at home recovering and generally wallowing in my own self pity.

Despite the fact I have a ridiculous amount of work to catch up on, as well as trying to prove I can step into my ex-bosses shoes, I am actually quite looking forward to being back at work and having something to do.

I'm great fun to be around at the moment....not!

I took advantage of 8 days off for zero days leave instead.

Ah, but they weren't consecutive. ;)

I find that to achieve complete wind-down and relaxation mode, I need to have consecutive days off work. If I'm called here and there or asked to go in on the odd occasion, it's like the work equivalent of broken sleep.

The place I work for enforces a 2 whole weeks break for everyone each year, this is one of the reasons for it (and I believe FSA compliance is the other).

Chin up!

Did you ever get around to a new Facebook banner? :p

(Yes I follow your FB business page! :p)

Yep, took the 11-for-3 offer ... and, well, haven't done much really.

Sorted some bits and pieces out and got rid of a pile of junk. Generally tidied up around the house (which is now probably tidier than it's been since I moved in 8 years ago) and caught up on some DVD/BD watching.

I did leave my work phone on in case anything came up (and check my work mail via it a couple of times last week) but seems like everything was generally quiet and I only need to slap one person around (verbally of course) tomorrow before I continue with what I was doing prior to the break.

It was nice to have a reasonably long break off with nothing to do for a change. Normally if I have time off then I'll have relatives visiting or I'll be going away.

Spent half of it in New York with my brither on a booze/shopping bender, which was wicked. Was supposed to be spending the rest of it in Seville for my mate's stag do, but managed to not remove my passport from my shorts and washed the damn thing, destroying it in the process :(

Upside was, got to go to my rugby club's 125th anniversary dinner dance at Twickenham, which I would otherwise have missed (and it's been raining all weekend in Seville!)

What I should have been doing over those 11 days.... my MSc coursework. I'm now getting to "squeaky bum time" with not nearly enough of it done. I'm too lazy to do this damn degree :(
