Osama bin Laden is dead - no graphic/violent images.

The thing I have been wondering is, how did they turn up in two choppers, and yet fit all of them plus Bin Laden's body into only one chopper? (As the other one crashed didn't it?)

I might have caught the story wrong and if so please feel free to correct me.

yea, one of the choppers had a mechanical malfunction so they blew it up and went on the other one. The Pakistani army is cleaning up the mess - thats why you can see trucks coming in and out taking the helicopter wreckage and cleaning up the blood and stuff.

OK, some thoughts are still running through my head:

1. A quote from Malcolm X on hearing the death of JF Kennedy: "The chickens have come home to roost"...the very phrase I said to the weary friends and family in the pub on the evening of tuesday 11th Sept 01, probably quite apposite now.

2. A quote from Arthur Harris from WW2: "He sowed the wind and now he will reap the whirlwind" ...Laden chose to live by the sword and he chose to die by the sword; he could have been strung up on the White House lawn with a bacon enema it still would not make him less of a martyr in the eyes of some, least of all his own.

3. Kate Middleton: "...I do"

4. A Chinese curse: "May you live through interesting times"

....my god my head hurts :(

Ironic, killed by seals then eaten by fish,

seals feeding the fish instead of eating them,

Or if its sharks that eat him, seals serve up a meal to sharks without being part of the main course.

Should have sent him to a 'bricktop' type to be honest, pigs can eat all the ****!

so he didn't surrender? i would wager that they'd have shot him dead even if he had of surrendered. the brief was go in, kill everyone, get out. good job, atleast they didn't mess about when it came to the crunch.

A US defence official said Bin Laden was given an Islamic funeral, which involved him being wrapped in a white sheet and washed before being sent overboard.

Surely someone will discover his body even if it has just been thrown in the ocean won't they?

It is being reported that video footage of that ceremony and photographs of the body are likely to be released soon.
To put to rest of doubts, which include my own original doubts too :D
