Hello all,

Does anyone not too far from Birmingham fancy lending me a G-Meter thing? I've got Scooby Shoot Out in a couple of weekends, and would be interested to see the break down of my times, e.g. 0-60 etc.

I do recall some kind persons offering me before, but I can't remember who :o

Thanks in advance.

Kosta

Spent last Monday with my brother and his G Meter, fantastic bit of kit and it's a great way to see where your mod money goes.

I'll give him a call tonight and ask him, I'm sure it won't be problem to send via recorded delivery.

I've got one of the Basic G-Meters you can borrow if you want. I've never bothered how to use it probably so it sits in my arm rest waiting for the day that I can be arsed to figure it out :D

It was me that offered as Ive got a proper performance box, but for whatever reason the damn thing seems to no longer work, was looking forward to using it in the EVO with the intercooler and 911, but its broke. :(

Got a link to what you've got Joshy? You're in London so would you be willing to send it and I send it back or...? :D

I can't find any information/links directly to it, but it is the original g-tech pro from circa 94.

It's a little harder to use than the newer ones. I think the new ones have 4 axis and the old one has 2 axis so you've got to mount the old one to be perfectly balanced (it tells you when it's balanced or not) while you can slap the new ones on the screen and they'll work straight away. Something like that anyway. But it stills does the 0-60, 0-100, estimated BHP, braking times and G measurements of the newer units, it's just harder to read. If you can get a newer one then by all means use that, but if you get stuck I'll be happy to send mine out.

i've got it

Its ok

but no substitute for a proper Racelogic box.

You really need a good cradle to hold it steady to make it any use.

You can borrow my cradle, for P&P costs

Not sure if you've a phone that'll run it Kosta but RaceChrono is pretty good and runs off GPS, will only give you one tyre of timing at a time though.

sorry to hijack a little bit but Joshy, would there be any chance I could borrow yours? I had an original G tech pro which is what I have used to do the timings on all my other cars, I think I left it in my last car when I sold it though :( If I could borrow it I would be super grateful, (obviously Ill cover P & P both ways)

How far are you from Nuneaton or Coventry?

I have one, records the same times as Santa pod. Email in trust if you want to come over.
